The countdown is on for what is currently the the most talked about events in Imo State University and one of the most talked about in Imo state as a whole. It is the grand finale of the most anticipated beauty and award event so far in 2016 called MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE IN IMSU and DISTINGUISHED PERSONALITIES AWARDS 2016.
The race for who will be crowned THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE IN IMSU in 2016 began in October 2015 when the team that makes up top news and Entertainment site, Myimsu.com, announced the competition which is the first of its kind in IMSU. Imo state university has lots of beautiful ladies and according to the founder of the initiative and CEO of Myimsu.com, the pageant was initiated to promote this abundant beauty as well as the image of the institution to the world. It began with an online contest with 29 Contestants and the race has grown more interesting everyday.
Although most ladies who saw the publicity were skeptical about it, due to the level of fraud in pageants across the world, some others took the opportunity and today they are glad they did as the contest has made all of the Contestants public figures already and will expose them to bigger things in during and after the pageant.
Friday, Feb 12th 2016, out of the 29 Contestants, one will be crowned MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE IN IMSU 2016.
The winner will emerge through the choice of the masses and the judges at the prominent Imo state university auditorium which will be venue for the event.
The Contestant with the highest online Vote will become Myimsu.com's ambassador for 6 months with many benefits.
The event is being talked about to be one of the biggest that will happen in Imo state in 2016. It will be attracting lots of reigning and former beauty Kings and Queens from across the country. Different modeling agencies and fashion moguls are also getting ready for the big day.
The MBFII is not just a pageant, it is an empowerment initiative that will see to it that the ladies that participate become more relevant to school and society through participation in various skills acquisition programmes. Before the finale the ladies will participate in social responsibility works and after the pageant they will all be trained in various skills including computer training, bakery, bead making, cakery, fashion, make-up etc.
Hence, all the ladies can be said to have won by taking part. They will also go for photoshoots and tours aimed at raising funds for charity.
The event will also feature Distinguished Personalities Awards. The awards are based on surveys and in-depth enquiries that aimed at picking out few individuals that have contributed positively in the different important aspects of society, especially in Education, Youth Development, Justice system, enterprise and public service. The Vice Chancellor of Imo State University Owerri, Professor Mrs Adaobi Victoria Obasi, will be the chief host of the event as well as an awardee.
